Tomorrow's Heirlooms "one at a time"! Some experience needed
Discover how you can experience working with wood and tools in a classroom with a maximum of 3 other students under the expert guidance of an award winning craftsman. Classes include all material, two days of "hands on instruction" and use of power and hand tools in a well designed shop. Safety in the shop in emphasized. See dates below. All classes fill up quickly. You must send a 50% deposit to hold your place. Classes are held on the Eastern Shore of MD. You will receive location of the shop upon registration. Antique shopping, restaurants and discount shopping outlets nearby. Click on below for a list of accommodations or call for more information. Lunch is included for classroom students on Saturday and Sunday. Classes begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Our next intermediate class will held on September 13-14, 2008. This class will feature an antiqued pine curio cabinet with a glass door and two box joint drawers. Learn to shape crown molding, make rabbit, dado and box joints plus many other woodworking skills. The unit will be finished using a worn paint look with "just the right amount of distress" to give it an antique reproduction look with character. Please note: photo shown with alternate leaded glass
The workshop will begin early Saturday and include lunch. Sunday we will spend the day applying the finishing touches on your project. If you need accommodations, please check out the links below or contact us for our recommendations. At the end of the class take home your own personally hand crafted beautiful piece of furniture. Sign up soon as we only allow 3 students in a class. Price for the class is $350.00. This includes all materials, use of tools and equipment, instructions and lunch both days. Call or email first to enroll and ask any questions. A deposit of $175.00 will reserve your space. Please mail your check to us at the address below. Deposit returned if you cancel one week prior to class. If you cancel within the 7 days prior to the class deposit will be credited towards a future class of your choice.
